One of the oldest and rarest salts known on earth, from the Northern Province of Semman in what was once Persia. Salt has been mined here since the time of Alexander the Great almost 2,500 years ago.
Characteristics: The specks of blue in these salts crystals are created by an optical illusion caused by the high compression of the mineral Sylvite. A sweet mild tasting salt that starts strong but finishes soft, leaving a pleasant aftertaste.
Pairing Suggestions: Seafood, meats, truffle dishes, foie gras
